We receive requests often for excess bread, perishables and produce. ShopRite has a partnership with the Food Bank of Delaware for all excess food that has to be given released. ShopRite works every day to ensure no product is wasted. The stores do not allow collection for food or money outside or within the stores. This program is creating a pathway with kids to learn about health and financial literacy. It begins with in-school training and coaching sessions and ends with a teambuilding experience for multiple classes at your local ShopRite store. In 2013 we began a rapid expansion of our Young Consumer program, moving from 3 to six schools! We sponsorship, our goal is to reach 12 schools by 2014.
